Serves 5 at ½ cup servings

1 red onion, diced

4 cloves of garlic, minced  

1-3 jalapenos, minced. I used 2

1 -14.5 oz. can of diced tomatoes, drained, I used Del Monte Harvest

1-15 oz. can of tomato sauce, I used Del Monte Harvest

2 tbsp of chili powder

2 -15oz. cans of kidney bean,

8 low point hot dogs, I used Applegate Naturals Uncured Turkey Hot Dogs, cut 1/2” thick slices

1 tsp olive oil

Heat olive oil in a 4-quart sauce pan, add diced onion and jalapenos. Cook 2-3 minutes then add chili powder and stir to coat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover pot, turn heat to low and let cook for an hour, stirring occasionally.
