Strawberry Sauce

Makes 1 Cup

10 oz. of Fresh strawberries, stem removed and cleaned

1/8 cup of Sweetener, I used Monkfruit Golden

1 Lemon Wedge – about a teaspoon of juice

 

Add all ingredients to a medium sauce pan, let cook over medium heat until soft, taste it, if it’s too sweet add a dash of salt if it’s not sweet enough add a tsp of sweetener.  Use immersion blender or masher to break down the strawberries and continue to cook 20 minutes. 

 

Transfer to a glass jar (I microwaved my jar to kill any bacteria).  Store in fridge.

 

Can be used as a spread for toast or biscuits and also as a topping for yogurt, ice cream etc…
