Whole Wheat Sesame Seed Oat Buns

A healthy, hearty, large bun, perfect to serve with dinner or add jam and have it with breakfast.

Makes 6

125 grams of whole wheat flour

125 grams of old-fashioned oats

1 ½ cup of warm water

1 tsp of instant rapid rise yeast

½ tbsp of black sesame seeds

½ tbsp of white sesame seeds

              *or use 1 tbsp of either one

½ tsp of salt

To a large glass bowl add: warm water then yeast, add oats and stir. Add salt, flour. Mix. Sprinkle on sesame seeds. Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for an hour.

 

Preheat oven to 410 degrees.  Using the large 2” cookie scoop, gently scoop out 6 portions and place on baking sheet.

 

Bake 16-18 minutes. Let cool on baking sheet.
